BASE HINGED COLUMNS - MEDIUM DUTY RANGE
The medium duty (hydraulically operated) base hinged column range, from 5m to 8m, offers a value product with a high load capacity.
Suitable for:
CCTV camera operation due to its high stability; able to provide minimum deflection
Floodlighting tennis and Multiple Use Games Areas (MUGAs)
Higher load lighting applications
Small wind turbine and solar panel

Abacus offers this range with a slim gear cabinet in galvanised steel mounted at the base of the column.
The box, complete with locking door, is suitable to carry 1 or 2 sets of 1kW control gear mounted on steel C-track rails.
Abacus offers a factory fitted, electrically compliant product complete with gear and protection cut-outs pre-wired ready for quick and simple installation on site.
The RLH hydraulic unit will operate all of the light duty base hinged columns (as well as the medium duty range).
This provides the advantage of having a single unit to maintain multiple column heights and headloads, either on a single site or accross a variety of sites.
We strongly recommend that this counterbalance unit is only operated by persons who have successfully completed training carried out by an approved Abacus trainer.
