Protection of luminaires against ingress of moisture or dust - (IP Code)

IP Rating System

Ip Rating is described by 2 digits. The first digit relates to dust protection, the second digit relates to water protection. Luminaires with higher degrees of protection will keep internally cleaner which ensures reflectors are maintained in good condition.
For example: The Abacus Challenger® Range of floodlights have an IP Rating of IP65, which means they are dust tight and are protected against water jets.
