David Hockney 1960-1968 A Marriage of Styles

Nottingham: January 2010 - The Nottingham Contemporary is bringing its first successful exhibition "David Hockney 1960-1968 A Marriage of Styles" to a close this month. The exhibition has received excellent reviews from both the art world and the local community.

The Nottingham Contemporary has become a design icon for the city, and we were pleased to supply another famous design icon - the base-hinged column. Widely considered to be the original and best in the industry, the columns have been the choice of consultants and specifiers for more years than we care to remember and they form part of the exterior lighting scheme for the gallery.

Mike Hallam, Sales Director, was a guest at the VIP evening, "Nothing beats seeing art up close, and the Nottingham Contemporary makes it even more exciting. I remember my father having a gallery in the area back in the 80s where he sold some of Hockney’s work, so this exhibition has a personal connection for me - I particularly enjoyed the work from Hockney’s California period."
