Thanks to Abacus Lighting Limited, F C Slovan Liberec in the Czech Republic played their second leg UEFA match with Liverpool at home, with high hopes of a victory.
The club’s success in the UEFA Cup has expedited F C Slovan Liberec plans for upgrading their lighting system.
Originally the plan was to hold the second round play off at a major stadium in Prague, however thanks to the involvement of Abacus Lighting, hosting the match at their home ground has become a reality.
The client confirmed the order with Abacus at the end of September. With an installation deadline of November 7th, for the match to be played on November 9th, Abacus pulled out all the stops to achieve the tight timeframes the project required. Abacus designed and manufactured the four 36m masts in record time, halving the standard lead time in order to meet the despatch dates.
Mike Hallam European Sales Director for Abacus Lighting Limited, comments "This type of project clearly illustrates the advantages of specifying a company who can manage the project from design to final commissioning. Through the broad range of products and services Abacus offers, even the tightest of timeframes can be achieved".
The project has been jointly managed through Abacus’ Czech distributor, Abatec CZ, based in Brno.
