Free Maintenance Inspection
Abacus unveils Free Maintenance Inspection prize draw for Non League Football Clubs.
Nottinghamhire: May 2012
Abacus Lighting have announced that they are giving away a Free Maintenance Inspection worth up to £1100 to support Non League clubs.
During the summer months, little consideration is given to the outdoor lighting at venues across the country and Football facilities are no exception. It is not until the darker days of Autumn and Winter that the floodlights are needed and it is often then when poorly maintained lighting can present the following serious risks:
- Increased risk of injury to players
- Increased liability of club from insufficient lighting levels
- Impaired spectator viewing
- Postponed games due to floodlight failure
- Reduced eligibility to enter official competitions
Lighting Maintenance Inspections should be carried out every year. In addition to improving the lighting levels, other recommended checks are completed which substantially reduce the risk of failure and liability.
Rob Eadson, Maintenance Manager for Abacus Lighting, commented “Planning in periodic maintenance dramatically improves the performance of the lighting systems, giving a better facility for all of the players, staff and fans. All too often the floodlights are neglected and it is only when the lamps start to fail that they call us, and usually the lighting is required to be working within days if not hours! The best time for maintenance is in the summer so there is minimal disruption.
With our prize draw we are offering everyone involved with their local non league team the chance to win their club a Lighting Maintenance Inspection worth up to £1100. The more entries your club has the better the chance of winning”.
To enter the Free Lighting Maintenance Inspection Prize Draw, all you have to do is visit the Abacus Lighting Facebook Page and follow the competition link.
