Abacus Officially Open New Paint Shop for Business!

The new Abacus paint shop opened for business at the end of April following months of careful planning.

The paint shop will enable Abacus to offer its customers an in-house superior paint finish, carried out in the controlled environment necessary both for the best quality product and current legislation.

Long Life Paint Finish

Abacus offers its customers a wide range of superior spray paint finishes, including Highways Agency specifications.

The new standard paint specification from Abacus, which has already received wide approval from early customers, is a compliant 2-pack acrylic paint finish 120 microns in thickness.

This finish gives the appearance of powder coating, but unlike the latter, offers the opportunity to repair small marks in situ.

The benefit of this finish is lower maintenance levels; minor maintenance is needed after 8 years, major maintenance at 15 years (this excludes aggressive environmental conditions, such as marine and coastal areas).
