LIGHT YOUR CLUB

Standards for lighting horse racing are governed by the demands of colour television and achieving high quality pictures.

The European standard for such events, EN 12193:2007, stipulates a vertical lighting level back to the main camera of 750 lux. Higher levels at the finishing line are also necessary.

Lamp colour rendition should also be close to daylight to ensure an optimum natural feel. 2kW lamps with colour rendition of minimum Ra=90 should be installed to achieve this outcome.
