Light duty columns can be operated with spring counterbalances, which offer a more cost‑effective choice for lower quantities. Hydraulic units can also be used for light duty applications and are ideally suited to larger quantities, especially where column sizes and headloads vary.
Medium and Heavy duty columns are operated by hydraulic units, with options available to achieve the most cost‑effective outcome.
Counterbalance units can be purchased as required. Abacus Lighting also offers unit hire when this provides a more cost‑effective approach.
All persons must complete an Abacus training course relevant to the unit they will be using before operating any equipment. Training can be booked through our main sales office, so please get in touch.
The spring unit, type RLS168, is available in a range of coloured springs. Each spring type has a given capacity, based on the column height and maximum safe working load.
